Hair Style
THE CUT: This hair was the hottest thing last year in Europe. To cop this cut, Federico says to create short layers throughout the hair, keeping the bangs to the middle of the nose. THE STYLE: Blow-dry the hair with a large round brush feathering back the ends as Farrah Fawcett once did. Add a bit of pomade to your hands and rub palms together to create a thin even film on your hands. Then, begin to crunch your locks after your hair is dry. Pull individuals strands between your fingers to create the feathered look. End by dividing the hair on one side and sweeping the bangs across the forehead.
THE CUT: Sandra s hair is cut into long layers starting below her chin. THE STYLE: The look is achieved by styling your hair the night before with a large round brush, smoothing the hair into place. Use a small round brush at the ends to create the additional curl. When you wake up in the morning your hair will fall into place once again. Federico adds that if you were to style your hair the same day, you would create more volume in the hair and have more shine than Sandra appears to have in this picture.
THE STYLE:Federico says to pull your hair up into a high ponytail. Take a strand of hair from underneath and wrap it around the circumference of the ponytail. Secure the strand with a bobby pin underneath. To add additional volume add a few extra hairpieces to the ponytail. This addition will turn an everyday look into celebrity glam.
THE STYLE: Use a small round brush, starting at the roots, to pull the hair straight and add volume simultaneously. After you're finished blow-drying the hair straight, use a flat iron just at the ends to create a smooth and sleek look. At the end, use Halo Polish by Graham Webb. This daily shine therapy protects hair color while creating a glossy, polished finish.
THE CUT: Create this simpie look by cutting the hair all one length, cutting into the bottoms of the hair with scissors to create definition. Leave a few long bangs to frame the face. THE STYLE: Use a large round brush to blow-dry your hair starting at the roots to create volume and bend in the hair. After drying the roots, pull the large brush down the shaft of the hair to smooth the hair. Finish with Graham Webb Reparative Shine to add shine.
THE CUT: Have your stylist cut your hair to just below your collarbone, creating long layers in the process. Snip a few chin length bangs to frame the face. THE STYLE: To create the look at home, start off by applying Be Curly by Aveda to damp hair. This product will lock in your curls, reduce frizz and infuse shine. Continue by drying your hair using a small round brush, lifting your hair at the roots. Wrap your hair around the small brush and hold your blow dryer to the hair, constantly moving the brush to prevent burning. Once the curls are formed, set the curls with coo! air from the hair dryer. This process will reduce your chances of frizz and set the hair. After the entire head is full of curls, tussle the hair with your fingers—don't brush!! Spray your hair with hair-spray to keep the curls all day long.
THE STYLE: If you prefer Jen's sleek look, without the bangs, start by flat-ironing your hair using a Thermal Effect Iron or Japanese Iron, which makes hair shinier than other irons on the market. Part your hair on the left side and pull your bangs across your forehead. Lift up the hair on the rights side at your temple and use a bobby pin to secure your bangs underneath. Let the lifted hair fall, to cover the bobby pin. Follow with an overall mist of hairspray.
THE STYLE:Federico would create this first look in one of two ways. In the first way, he would create these curls by fully blow-drying the hair using a small round brush, creating the flipped ends by wrapping the hair around the small brush away from the head. If you feel uncomfortable with a round brush, you can always flat-iron the hair and use a curling iron to create the curls. Part your hair on the side and sweep your bangs across the face, cove: ing one eye. Another option is setting your hair in finger curls. To do this, Federico suggests you take small sections of your hair and wrap it around your finger, using bobby pins to secure them to your scalp. Make sure don't forget to set your ends in the curls as well. Lightly mist your hair with hairspray to help hold the curls longer and to add movement. After letting them set for 15 minutes, remove the bobby pins and let the curls fall into place.
THE STYLE: To create this style, start by flat-ironing your hair using a Thermal Effect Iron or Japanese Iron, Create an off-center part and let the bangs fall to each side. Federico says to add a small amount of Graham Webb Reparative Shine to the hair to create a sheen that will last all day long.
THE STYLE: Anyone can create Jaime-Lynn's easy yet chic updo. To achieve this look, blow-dry your hair with a large round brush to create locks that are full of body. Federico recommends making a messy zigzag part on the side of your hair. Sweep the front section across your head and tuck the soft front layers behind your ears to create a side upsweep. Secure your style by subtly pinning your hair behind your ears. Then, tie the remainder of your hair in a low, loose ponytail at the nape of your neck. Finish off the look with a little bit of product to prevent flyaway hairs.
THE CUT:Federico suggests that your stylist razor many short layers into the hair that start at your cheekbone and gradually cascade into longer layers. THE STYLE: To create this style at home, blow-dry your hair as you normally would. Then, use a round brush and your blow dryer to create a curling iron effect with the hair. This process will produce soft wavy curls for a tousled 'do. Softly part your hair to the right side to accentuate the flirty curls. Finally, use your round brush again to blow-dry the ends of your locks so that they playfully flip-up.
THE CUT: Again, Jaime-Lynn's hair is made of many levels of short layers starting at her cheekbone. THE STYLE: This style has fewer curls than the second style, but achieves a voluminous, sophisticated look. Part your hair on the right, and use a big round brush to create these waves. Wrap your tresses around the large brush, concentrating the heat of your blow dryer on the ends. This technique allows your ends to flip under and naturally fall into a soft curl on your shoulder. The ends create a soft frame around your face and finish the look.
THE STYLE: To get Janet's look here, Bianca recommends adding long, wavy extensions to your already relaxed hair. Set the extensions from the crown of your head on down, leaving the top and sides of your head alone. Set your own hair in small to medium rollers. After the curls set, remove the rollers and loosen the curls by running your fingers through your hair, blending yeur hair in with the extensions. Td define curls in your extensions, use a large-barrel curling Iron on the extensions only. In order to maintain the waves, apply Graham Webb Magnitude Mousse and a shine serum to make your hair look sleek all night.
THE STYLE: After relaxing and coloring the hair, add short extensions to the crown of the hair. Create the side-swept bags by cutting nose length bangs and using a small round brush to curl the long bangs under. Then, brush the bangs to the side of the face and away from the eyes. Bianca Lyder recommends pulling the hair up into a twist and securing with bobby pins. Make sure to leave the ends of the hair free at the top. If your hair is not full enough to create the look of Janet Jackson's style, Bianca recommends adding a few hairpieces to the top to complete this sexy and sophisticated look.
THE STYLE: Bianca suggests adding long extensions to the crown of your
head after having already relaxed and colored the hair (In that order). Add a few layers to the hair to create body and continue by cutting long pieces around the faces. Start just below the shoulder and angle away from the chin. Separate the hair down the middle and flat-iron the hair. Use a small round brush on the front pieces to add bend and motion to the hair.
