Federico Calce, who came to the Big Apple in the 80's by way of global style capital, Milan (where his family owns and operates a beauty chain), is a true beauty expert whose passion for style and technique has brought him much well-deserved success and praise.
Federico, a "mega-modern" hairdresser with an insightful approach all his own, first tested the NYC hairstyling waters at the Bergdorf Goodman salon, where he was quickly appointed as artistic director. He opened his own salon just five years later, and has gone on to create stunning styles that have been featured in fashion magazines nationwide.
Over the years, Federico has created beautiful hairstyles for numerous Fendi, Valentino, Oscar De La Renta, and Armani models, as well as dazzling do's for the likes of Eva Longoria, Catherine Zeta- Jones and husband Michael Douglas, Katie Couric, Betsey Johnson, Nicole Richie, Rosario Dawson, and other top celebrities. He was also chosen to do the 2011 Mother's Day hair makeover for "The Nate Berkus Show" on NBC.
The unstoppable Federico is the creator of the exclusive 24-hour in-room salon service, which is now offered at many elite NYC hotels. He's also partnered with the famous Italian stylist, Rolando Elisei; in 2005, this dynamic duo began teaching master classes at their respective salons. In 2010, Federico received a Concierge Choice Award for outstanding beauty services.
